These are various stages of a black Walnut Sculpture I was commissioned to sculpt. The end result of painting it in a vintage style was by customer choice. They do pay the bills. Very nice.
As soon as I saw this head, I was struck by how much it reminded me of Lance Nichols, an actor on the HBO series “Treme”.
