I built this little contraption today. It was completely free to build – made entirely from scraps laying around the shop. Its definitely not fine woodworking, but its going to get the job done. I will be posting a video of how I made it and what it is in a couple of hours!!

Looks like some kind of folding chair? For rowing? Fishing? or something of that nature?

the half oval cut outs on the 2 boards closest to the hinge have to be a clue… a chair wouldnt need those… i thought my thoughts were close but it wont fold out flat… so back to square 1 for me

It is a “Super-highly modified, choke flange-gasketed, copper-coated, dual-coned interoceter with a split-based divided parallel which is adjustable in various increments according to the pitch at high resonance.” I had one but sold it last week .

It looks like a fold up seat with the back laying down.Is it a potty seat for in the woods that you set over a couple logs??
