I built this desk for my daughter for Christmas three years ago . The idea was to make a desk that looked like it was found in an old barn somewhere . I thought that was going to be really easy turned out to be harder that I thought . As a result I finished it Christmas Eve at about 3:00 in the morning . One of these days on them learn to start projects a little earlier !

Very interesting piece. I have always felt that producing something “out of the norm” , such as distressed and rustic pieces, takes much more effort than using finished lumber. You did a good job with this one.

Thanks for sharing.

Looks like it came out of an old farm house or something to me ;). Nice job.

Great job! Can you tell me how you achieved the finish as I have a project to do at the minute and the client is looking for exactly the same finish on her cabinet doors. I dont know where to start as I have always wanted to achieve the perfect finish!!!!
