I was asked to save a bench for a freind. Her grandfather made it a long time ago. So back I went to the old barn wood behind my barn and searched to gind as much as I could to keep it looking the same. All but the back rest and the back legs has been replaced. She was very happy with it. I will take it back this fall and give it a linseed oil finish after she has left it out with her flowers on it to grey the cut edges to match the rest.

Really cool – but the stereo chirping might not be conducive to a nap in the late evening sun.

Very cool….I love pieces with character like this one has :-) Soon you won’t even be able to tell what was newly replaced and what parts were the old parts. Good save!
