My son said he wanted his dresser made out of Bamboo. Looked into the options to get Bamboo, which was few so I thought I would use Bamboo flooring. Thought I was onto something original, then found out later others had used bamboo flooring to make projects as well. Nonetheless, it was an interesting experience and fun. (there were some frustrating times, too. lol )
I incorporated solid surface material for the top drawer front, inlay for the top, and trim for the base.
In the pictures it is sitting on a dolly.
Finished with polyurethane and hand waxed.
Came out handsome IMO. Thanks for looking.

Very impressive. I had tried to see if much was being done with flooring as a furniture (or other) woodworking material, so I am glad to see that you did this AND how nicely it worked out.

I have only used bamboo flooring for my workshop table top and love it.

As soon as I get my Ridgid jointer/planer, flooring walnut and maple, re-claim heart pine, and local cypress and pecan are gonna be on my palette. I am tired of birch plywood, oak and pine.

Nice touch with the solid surface, too. Contrast is good.

Awesome. This is the best bamboo project I have seen. Flooring? Interesting idea.
Another great one, Scott. Thanks for posting.
