After looking at all of the beautiful boxes here on LJ, I decided to just dive in and make one as well. I made this one for my Mom for Mothers Day last year. The top is made of Maple Burl, Tiete Rosewood, White Guayana Rosewood (thin strips), Padauk, and Purpleheart, with a Padauk handle. The body is made of Tiete Rosewood with purpleheart miter keys. This was my first attempt at miter keys as well. Thanks for looking! All comments welcome!

I like this one a lot Matt, it looks really nice. I like the colors/textures of the lid.

Wonderful Box, original lid design with fine craftsmanship, contrast of color and pattern, keep up the good work, thanks for sharing
