Our first…and second! Alex and Charlie are healthy and strong…born May 25th. We are blessed…and loving every minute of it.
The bookshelf I had planned to have finished before they arrived…but you know how that goes. Poplar with gloss white enamel from a spray can. First time with spray cans…not horrible. The concept was my wife’s after she saw something similar at a friends house. Fits a tricky spot on the wall in the nursery.
Thanks for looking!
Greg

Greg,
Did you get Alex and Charlie signed up for their own LJ accounts yet? ;-)
The bookshelf looks great. You did a super job on the finish.

Congratulations. They look great. I hope all is well with both you the boys and mum.
My son was born on April 12th this year, he is our 3rd. The first 2 are girls. (5 and 4 yrs old)
The book shelf is really nice.
It will be really valuable in a few years when you need the boys to clean up there books and they have a place to put them.

Hi Greg. There beautiful and the shelf is very nice too. Spray paint is not that bad and gave you a very nice finish.
Congratulation to you and your wife on the twins. They are precious.
Now you’ll have two good reason to make a ton of wood items!
Start buying them aprons and safety glasses for the future in your shop!! And get them on L’s as soon as they can work the keyboard. Thanks for posting…...........Jim

I think that the hardest part of woodworking is making two exact replicas of a project…I see you and your wife don’t have that problem! LOL. The boys are adorable and the bookshelf is too! Although when they start reading on their own it may need to be enlarged. Wouldn’t that be great? :)

Congrats, my second was born on the same day 2 years ago. You know as soon as they can walk they will turn that bookshelf into a ladder. LOL
