Tape dispenser

My wife mentioned not having a tape dispenser in her DayCare room. The dim little light bulb went off in my head as I was (barely) between projects so I took the dispenser from the kitchen and used it as a pattern. I wasn’t looking forward to making the little duhicky that goes inside the roll of tape. They sell for 89 cents at Staples. Add a small piece of band saw blade and two coats of poly and she is happy.

Very cool. Any chance you can post a close-up picture of the cutter? Also, what type of wood is this?

A very cool idea – much better looking than a hunk of black plastic!

I didn’t measure the bandsaw blade but it is about 1 1/2 inches long, I wanted it to be longer than the tape. It is black walnut.
