What do you get with a pile of fire wood and a few hours of boredom, well you get Crates! All of the wood is salvaged, most of it is from shipping pallets; the “apple” crate was made from scrap 2×4’s from my recent remodel. The only thing “new” is the rope and the staples used to put them together.
The first 2 I got a little artsy-fartsy, adding trim to the first one, and tapering the sides of the second in 5 degrees, adds a little visual interest. All in all these are intended to be utilitarian in nature, should work for organizing odds and ends.
I plan on making a set of matching crates for my kitchen; I will more than likely make those out of cherry.
