I’ve been on a big organization kick lately and decided that we need a mail organizer in the house, so I whipped up this little guy. The dividers are walnut and maple, and the base is birdseye maple. I had this ‘arcs’ theme in my head, so I put arcs on the top of the dividers as well as the front and back of the base. I created the edge effect on the base by using a 1/2” roundover bit set to a depth of just a little under 3/8”. Finish is four coats of wipe-on poly.

Very nice and and so useful. I’m getting things organized too and I love items like this to have a place for stuff so it does not sit all over the place. I made a horizontal one years ago but it is not as fancy as yours. I use it every day and it keeps the mail and bill all in one place. You’ll love it and probably get orders for more!!
Thanks for sharing!!!!!!......Jim

I like it. It looks great. The only problem is that the mail will cover some of the wood

Thanks, all! :)
Jim J.: I certainly would not object to orders for more. I posted this on Facebook and a cousin wants to order a wall-mount version. Bonus!
John: yeah, that is a problem. It’s already quite full. Shameful, I know. That’s why I used the section of walnut with the most interesting grain for the front!
