This is a Maple bowl that I started turning almost a year ago when it was green. I got a little carried away and turned it pretty thin, then when it dried it warped of course.
But I had just enough to work with to round it out again.

Very nice. I have to make a lampshade for a lamp I’m designing and I thought to make it that way- a light wood turned very thin. I was going to use a dry wood but I think I will do what you did and just leave it a bit thick so I can finish turning it a a few months.
Thanks for sharing and getting me thinking about it again!!!!!!................Jim

Nicely done! I’m thinking of making a lamp shade out of wood. The thinness will definately be a challenge to allow light to shine through.
