Project Information
This is a mother's day gift for my mom. The window in the new frame is from built in book cases that were in the house she grew up in. The book cases were removed when she was relatively young and grandpa saved the doors in an old abandoned house on an adjoining farm. I found them a few weeks ago and discovered where they came from and the story behind them from an aunt. The windows were only one season from being completely destroyed by cattle. This pane is the only one without at least one broken glass or more.
The frame is oak, lap joints and a light coat of walnut stain and poly topcoat. The window is held in with glaziers points. The door pull is off of the original doors. I did not bother putting the hinges on, they were pretty rusted and only one half available.
Thanks for looking, BTKS
