hello to all lumber jocks
this little project came about because of my children…the fact the they keep growing..about two years ago i mad a simple ply chair for my son…being the awkward little bugger that he can be…he’s grown more..
while looking for a little table and chair set we came across the “IKEA” website…...warning this site is very dangerous….it has to many nice things in it…
found a chair..the price was amazing….in fact i found it almost a insult what some one could make a hardwood chair for so little cost….this could destroy many areas of the trade through peoples lazyness..
this is the part that really or could of hurt….delivery charge..£30…its good if you have ordered a whole new bedroom but for a small item like this… comment.
this spured me to raid the of cut bin at work…and with a little imagination…this is my version of that chair…it weighs less than 1 kilo and it was very satisfying to make..also its strong…im no light weight and it feals sturdy.
long live the true pleasure of proper hand skills..

Nicely done! Good hand skills!

By the way IKEA stuff gets boring after a while…so I would do the same.

Turning wood into a child’s smile is a gift to us all.

Thank you.

Cool, I like this chair. I think Ikea is great … for ideas. I bought a couch from there once. I had back problems for a few years also. I dumped the couch and I have not had a back pain since.
