I was fortunate to have met Brian Boggs at last years Texas Furniture Maker’s Show. I started looking at pictures of his furniture and especially liked his Ladderback rocker design. I decided to try building a Ladderback Sculpted Rocking Chair and this chair which is made of figured Black Walnut is the 1st example that I have built.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments.

Scott the next chair I build will be a Mesquite Ladderback Rocker so I can compete at the Texas Furniture Maker’s Show this fall with your friend Lou Quallenberg In the Texas Furniture Category.

Scott I like to try different design ideas on my chairs, so I can really appreciate the work you put into your newer chair designs. I will build a Ladderback Dining Chair based on the rocker design later this year. This rocker could be also built with vertical Maloof style back spindles.
