The 1st pic is of a new comfort kit that PSI has. It is a black enamel finish on the hardware. I was looking through my wood stack and figured a light wood would look good with it so I decided I would use Bird’s Eye Maple. Sanded to 600 grit , finished with 6 coats of BLO/CA and buffed to 12,000 with Micro-Mesh and finished off with 3 coats of Myland’s Friction Polish.

The 2nd pic is a comfort pen with a satin finish on the hardware. The wood id Cedar. I wish I could have kept the aroma of the Cedar but I wanted the durable finish so I finished it with 6 coats of BLO/CA and buffed to 12,000 with MM and topped off with Myland’s.

Thanks for looking and I appreciate any feedback good or bad.
