I recently insulated and sheetrocked my shop, finally! Couldn’t stand to think of another hot summer in Alabama without some AC in the ol’ woodshop. So after finishing the walls, I thought some new cabinets would look nice on my new white walls. So I picked up a few sheets of birch ply and went to work. I had also been wanting a nice fully functional tool cabinet. Luckily I found a magazine with a cabinet much like what I’d had in mind. Now I have another problem…too much empty space in my tool cabinet. Guess I’ll have to go buy some more tools, darn!

Nice! I’ve been wanting to make a cabinet using piano hinges, but I’m scared to death that I’m going to screw it up some how. Thanks for the inspiration!

looking too good and tooo organised :-)
and you donĀ“t have to buy to fill the empty space
somehow some where it always deems to clutter up by it self …..LOL
or ells you can always build the tools yourself :-)

Thanks everybody. Jason, I have found that a piano hinge has got to cause the least headache of all hinges. No alignment issues and grreat strength on these guys. Just make sure the butt of the hinge sticks out like its supposed to and you’re home free. And dennis, you are right about the clutter, funny how that works out.

Very practical and organized. Looks like they hold a lot.
