Key West coffee table

This table was made out of plywood then veneered in white oak. The pedestals are 2 pieces of plywood with a 6” hole. I filled in the hole with ply then cut the fill with a router. the pedestal is only 4” thick. The glass is 48”diameter.

I like your design and execution.
Being a practical person the idea popped into my head that it would be a good idea to put built in “coasters” (recesses to hold drinks) in the top of the pedestals. That would keep them off the glass and keep the glass cleaner.
