This was my first project and I made it for a special little boy in my life for his 1st birthday. I saw this rocking horse in the book “The Complete Book of Woodworking” and the designer was kind enough to share the plans with me. The original plans called for pine with no staining. I chose to use oak and make it two toned in color. | |||||||

Nice horse, I have never seen one made like that. That design would make a nice rocking horse/toy box combo.

Very nice piece. I am thinking of building a rocking horse in the next couple months. I was thinking of going much simpler, but you may have inspired me to do more. And I love the toy box idea papadan!
