Very nice box. The contrast between the wood really sets it off.

Fantastic attention to detail.

Thanks Don and everyone. Boy was this box a struggle. It’s hard to see the curves in the pictures but they are there. My detail around the perimeter at the top had to change once I made a big goof up on cutting the curves. But the re-design came out well with a pronounced lip from the darker wood. It also gave me the way to open the lid that I was trying to figure out. Overall there are some minor issues that if done again will be corrected. But it’s soft to look at and touck. The satin lacquer came out well.

Thank you all. I just hope to place this year.

Fantastic box Bill and good luck at the state fair. I’m hoping to see this one in the LJ box challenge.

-- I've cut that board three times and it's still too short!
