I created this Baptismal Fountain for our church, Spirite of Peace Lutheran Church. My youngest daughter will be getting baptised on May 1st and this was my gift to her and to our church. The project was created entirely on the lathe using Poplar with a Pecan stain and then two coats of clear poly. The base and the top are essentially the same, though turned into the different shapes. The top and the base are both three layers of 12 segments. The leg is 4 pieces laminated together and then turned.
The glass bowl is almost a flower in shape and color and was purchased at Pier One Imports.

Lets hope that it will set all your Church young ones on a happy journey thru life.
A very nice job Jim.

That is really nice.
A classic design with the modern glass looks great.
