Custom Trophy and Pen made for a bank. Trophy also serves as business card and pen holder so it is more than a trophy, but functional as well.

The engraving was done with an Epilog Laser Engraver. Sometimes on the pen I engrave through the wood down to the brass and then when you look at the inscription the brass shows up as kind of a highlight. When I do that though, it is critical that the glue the holds the brass barrel to the wood is spread evenly and covers as depending on the letters, there may be a little tiny piece of wood that is part of the letter that is only held on by the glue. Like the center of an “o” or “a”.

I don’t do that all the time, does look nice when the other trim is brass and when the wood is dark like the walnut on this project. Steve
