I decided to take a break from the segmented work and try some tool practice. I like chess and have a few sets and decided I would try and turn a pawn. It turned out well so I moved to the bishop and onto the rook. I came back and worked on refining the pawn and changint the shape. One I get the basic pieces down to a pattern that I like I will then move on the see whether or not I can duplicate. I am checking into making some profile tools for making the bases consistent. I am happy how these turned out. Thanks.

Hi Mike. In this cases you don´t mind whether the chessmen are nice or not, meanwhile they look alike, isn´t true?

Yours are great.

I made 3 beautiful pawns for one of my chessboards. Unfortunately all seem to be of different sets !! :-))

I support Nap´s blog proposal.

Thank you for the post

Napoleon – You must be proud of your son. You should make your son a chess board. I was in the chess club when I was in junior high and my mom purchased a nice walnut/maple folding chess board for me and I still have it today, some 30 years later and it is one of my cherished possessions. Tell you son Congrats for me.

Fernando—Thank for you comments about the pieces. I never thought of a blog but perhaps when I get back to this project I will start one.

Have a great day.
