Made from Purpleheart, I turned this box using the new Easy Wood Turning tools and Nano-Tech turning tools for the beading, I really like how they work and are easy to maintain.

Finish is turning polish (shellac base, but not sure of the composition) from Lee Valley.

This is my first lidded box and I have to make a new lid (too loose). Next time I’ll make the lid, but not form the lip before the lower part is completed :)

I’m officially hooked on turning :-D

Looks good. I was down at Woodcraft looking at the Easy Wood tools.

I wish i could try them first. They had a lathe sitting on the floor with the Easy Wood Tool sitting the
that they used for a demo. No one around at the time to that knew anything about them.

hi nice box looks good nice turning the lids are not easy to get right you made a great job pity it is to slack you could make another box to fit the lid don’t scrap it
just a idea

Nice Lidded box. I havent tried any yet. I really like the easy wood tools, I have the rougher.

Branch, thanks for the idea! I had some leftover PH from the same block and I’m doing just that! Again, awesome idea!
