what did you use for a finish ? i am thinking of doing one also. what about hardware? where did you pick up the hardware ?

I used a couple coats of minwax sealer and several coats of rub on poly. I used 00 steel wool between each coat
I hear you dont need sealer with rub on poly but it really takes a lot less poly and saves a lot of time. just my thoughts on it..Oh you can buy the hardware kits at any hardware store. I actually bought these at wal mart but I dont think I would again. Not the best quality in my opinion.
