My wife says either I have to meditate or she does. I’d just sit and think about the shop, so it’s probably going to get used more by her.
Mostly hand tools again, a little work with the bandsaw. Scraps of maple, birch and the dreaded, never to be used again, purpleheart. A simple Danish Oil finish.
The curved legs work well for adjusting posture and apparently you can rock as you sit. The top is a little heavy and makes the stool a little awkard to flip around one handed, but it feels solid and grounded when you sit on it. It started out with a thin seat but a problem with an attempt at through tenons nearly ended with it getting thrown across the shop. I guess this is meditation MKII.
Now just sit and breathe…. hmmmmm where’s the smell of sawdust?

Sometimes I sit and think. Sometimes I just sit.

That’s a very nice bench. Unique!
Here’s a pix of my meditation bench, not nearly as nice as yours.
Some times I sit and think, others I …..............let’s not go there.

Nice bench for a good purpose. I made a similar one for my oldest son using a drawing he sent as a
blueprint, after seeing yours, I think I may have made the curved bottom on his a little too round, but
he likes it. Thank you for sharing.

Really nice bench, but what really impressed me was the number of clamps hanging on your shop wall!

I would have put a lot of thought into it before attempting to sit, could be fatal!
