Made this stool for a client’s pantry recently. I used splined mitre joints on the corners, all solid hard maple. It’s heavy as hell.

Very nice clean look. I like the idea of using splined mitre corners and dowels on the steps. I am plaining to make something like yours with the splined mitre showing like a key mitre. Would you be able to send me the dimentions along with any other info? Im pretty much a newbe and this would help me with the project plaining Thanks. will

Will – this was made from a drawing made by the client’s architect, who didn’t know how to proportion a step stool for stability. This one was a bit too tall and wasn’t stable when you were on the top step.
