I decide to make six of these bar stools for my basement bar. They are made of walnut with maple plugs. The seat joinery is based on Maloof’s joinery. I have three of these completed with the other three built but waiting final shaping, sanding and finish.

No, I didn’t use any plans and the only templates I used were the ones I designed and created myself to help ensure each stool would match the others.

Great stools, thanks for posting. I love the look of carved furniture and want to get started. Do you recommend any printed or video tutorials?

Whoa! I can’t even imagine making one of something that nice. Beautiful workmanship… beautiful furniture.

Could you cut them down and send them to me for my conference table? Seriously, works of art with functionality. Incredible.
