I found the wood for this box while going through my scrap pile. Loved the way the grain looked, so made the box to fit the top.

Thanks for looking.

PS Anyone know a good way to add a discrete watermark to a photo? I had one of mine used by another woodworker. Drag.

Hi Kate,
Great box! I love the top … what a find!
I think you can get a watermark program and it will produce on the photo… try googling “watermark”

Great looking box… As for the watermark, I use Adobes Lightroom. Allows some work-flow on the photos as well as watermarking ability.

Whoa Kate that’s a beautiful piece of Maple I really like the false spline on the mitred drawer front too. I don’t think anyone could pass this one off the lid has it’s own built-in watermark
Nice job

I really like this project, I like how you used the flaw on the lid as an asset. It makes the project unique and one of a kind. I also like how you did the deviders inside the box. I have always wanted to make deviders like this for my chests, but to be honest I have no idea how to start. I just know they look nice and uniform and they make your maple box stand out. Well done

Kate, you might want to check this utility out for watermarking your photos. I haven’t used it personally, but it looks like it’s worth investigating.

Love the box by the way.

Really and truly beautiful! I love the top and also the finish. It really brings out the natural beauty of the wood!

Excellent job book matching the knot. I can’t see how anyone could take satisfaction is passing off someone else’s work as their own. I believe some will do it, just can’t see the reason. This is a one of a kind you can call your own.
