This table was just finished today, I have been hold up in my studio now for 3 days sleeping in the office. So I could get it done for the gallery opening it is going in. This piece was a huge learning experience, and engineering challenge. The base is made of 1 1/4” steel tube and 11 gage mild steel, the doors are made of padauk, and the top is a slab white oak. All the wood is finished in tung oil and the steel is a rubed black. I really love this piece and think I am going to start a whole series of them.

Great design, Looks great. I’m in the process of making an Entertainment Center for a new 63” plasma with floating glass table on it. Well done. Love the wood and metal mix.

I have been wondering how to make my entertainment center with straight lines and rustic natural edge. I like the suspended top. Gives me ideas… Thanks
