The Kissel Kitchen Project – 07

This Kitchen was part of a complete interior package including trim, doors, closet interiors, cabinetry and multiple built ins… One of my best jobs.

The Architect, John Richert, owner of Crossroads Blue Sky Architects, has a good eye for detail and was fun to work with. We’ve done several projects together.

The project manager, Ove Sens is someone you have to meet. Tall, ruggedly handsome – in a Viking ship builder sort of way, and he has this jovial personality that just brightens your day… Great teller of jokes too.
He’s highly skilled in a wide range of professional skills and has the ability to create a positive atmosphere on the job site and with the clients. A good friend.

It really makes a difference when you have sub contractors and a crew that work well together.

The quality seems to rise, less things go wrong and projects are completed 100% to avoid the dreaded punch list.

This project represented what I try to pass on to my boys.
Teamwork with kindness. Earned Respect. Responsibility for your own work. Taking it to the next level.

and…. we all have something to learn from each other.

I could care less about money. I have no debt.

You can chase money and make it your priority, or you can focus on quality and it will chase you.

What wonderful details throughout the kitchen. Was it a new home, made to look Victorian? Everything looks absolutely top-notch!

This really did go to the next level. I too like the last line of your post.
