Stool made from driftwood collected at Eagle Beach, Aruba.

1. Finished stool with several coats of polyurethane – no stain
2. Assembled stool prior to sanding and finishing
3. Another view of stool

Being on vacation, I had a black and decker jig saw.
The sawing of legs was tricky and slow.

Beautiful piece od drift wood, and I like the contrast you made between the seat and the legs.
Nice work.

Thanks for your encouraging comments.
It was a challenging project; having none of my shop tools around.
Situations like this, forces one to improvise. ( thinking outside the box )

Have a great day!

You know you are a true woodworker when you have a power tool handy while on vacation. Note to self: add jigsaw to my list of essential vacation items.

Had a spare jigsaw ( older Black and Decker in neat plastic box ).

My son-in-law had a job to do at his condo, so I brought it to do the job and then left it there.

So, thats the story of taking the tool with me.

Could have used the tablesaw but couldn’t put it in my carryon! :-)
