Just a simple bowl that I made over the weekend (Also gave me a chance to try out my new camera!). I don’t make many bowls so I get pretty excited when I make one that I’m pretty happy with. It was made from a scrap chunk of ambrosia maple that I found at one of the dealers at the Baltimore Woodworking Show for $7.50. I finished it with 4 coats of garnet shellac and some Transtint dark vintage maple dye to add some color. I think I should’ve cut down the shellac since it didn’t go on as smoothly as I would’ve liked. A coat of wax makes it pretty smooth to the touch though. Thanks for looking.
