This is my first attempt at building any type of furniture. I took an old pine footstool completley disassembled it and used my table saw to cut the sides down to accomodate only one drawer rerouted the slides for the drawer runners, and rerouted the top and bottom of the drawer for a more decorative look. I then built the base using my scroll saw to cut the skirts routed the edges and attached them to the legs using dowel joints. I than coated it with 2 coats of minwax red mahagony and 5 coats of satin poly. It was alot of fun to take something my wife and I thought was really ugly and turn it into something thats functional for our house. I know there is probably a million different ways to do this alot better but with the tools I possess it seemed like the easiest way and I am still learning. Thanks for looking :)

A great job on this and impressive creativeness to see this really nice piece in what you started with.
