A few fellow lumberjocks have posted these puzzles. I decided to join in and make a few copies. Also check out and

Woods used include black walnut, maple, spalted pecan, and poplar for the dowels. Finished with Deft lacquer.

Completed 12-2010.

Great job, and thanks for the reference!

I have two hints for those who wish to do one of these:

1) The longer you can get the pegs, the better.
2) Use steel pegs if you can – they slide SO much better!

These look great – I love the pecan. I have never worked with pecan, but I hear it’s very nice stuff.

Found these too on LJ and made several.
found on the net as Amish Puzzles.
Easy to see and solve harder yet to make and have them function.
Great Job.. well done.
