My wife and another friend said I needed to up the challenge on ornament cutting so I tried these slotted types this year. My wife loved them, and they were a hit with the few friends that received them. The one with the angel at the top is alder. The curvy ornament is cherry. The snowflake is padauk. The Christmas tree is maple. All were wet sanded up to 400 grit using Danish oil.
The other two ornaments were cut by my son a year ago when he was 7, and I was duely impressed with his work. He likes to cut, but he is not so much into the sanding and finishing yet.
