These came up during the Holidays. the one with my clients stands about 5’ plus pedestal. The second is 4’. Enjoyed carving them.

That’s a biiig bear! Looks very lifelike to me, but we don’t see many over here in the UK!
I remember – years ago – being at a craft fair where the stall next to us was run by a group of woodcarvers.
A middle-aged lady picked up an exquisite carving of a bear, about twenty-four inches high.
“I like that”, she said to the man who said he had carved it , “how much is it?”
“Eight – fifty” was the response.
“I’ll have it”, she says – proffering a ten pound note!
After a pause, the carver said, “No, eight hundred and fifty!”
. . . . . . Exit lady in a huff!
