Asian Stash Box This box is Cherry with Walnut legs and knob. Lift off lid is rabbeted about 1/8 inch to nest into the box. The sides are tapered 12 degrees and the bottom is lined with black velvet. The knob is meant to echo the shape of the legs. approx. 6×6 inches and finished with hand-rubbed poly.
Some guys have been asking to see the inside of my boxes…..so.

jb, I wanted to ask you: did you make the legs first rabbeting a larger piece then cutting all four legs, then adding a taper? They seem to follow the angle of the sides at the top, have a taper, then come out a bit. Did you sand them into shape after glue-up? Excuse my ignorance.
