Hi, this is the first project I upload, but its the last one I did. I finished it a couple of days ago. It’s still missing a couple of steps but it’s almost done. It is located in a “finca” which is a fruit and vine plantation in Mendoza, Argentina. It’s the my first attempt at a deck and I guess it went pretty well. I consider myself a begginner at woodworking. I will post later a couple of my previous projects. This project took about two weeks of work but most of the days were only the afternoons.

It looks like a very nice deck. You should enjoy your pool a little more with the extra room.

Nice job, what type of finish did you use?

Thanks, the wood was treated pine which is what was available with our budget. The finish is a deck painting for outdoors called Danzke deck, Teka colour which is done by Petr-Lac but I think this is a local brand.

Looks great I think I would have built the house first. It looks a little empty. Great job on the deck

The house is a long story. The place belongs to my inlaws, my brother in law bought the pool and one of those premade houses. The pool guys installed it in time but the house guys, well, we are still waiting. It should be finished by now but this is all there is yet. Still we enjoyed a couple of argentine barbeques and fresh prunes, apricots and peaches right down from the trees.

Deck looks pretty good. If you build any more like this, you might want to consider some more supports in the corner. I do not claim to be an expert on rough construction but to me there should have been more support. Thanks for posting.

Now you’re talking loneframer. :) Take that picnic table with you- it will look great by the pool. And for the record hinsch- there are plenty of people here in the US that build the deck, firepit, pool, garage… etc. Long before they get the house finished. :) ENJOY THE POOL! :)
