Custom Gable Ends on a Rough Carpentry Job

I participated in the building of this common-looking storage shed for use by a high school’s rowing team (aka crew team). In fine woodworking, meticulous attention to detail is highly valued, and one generally does not care how long it takes to complete a project. But on this “rough” carpentry job, the other guys who built the shed with me made a joke of my “fine” but “slow” carpentry skills. However in the end they all admired the custom gable ends in the silhouette of a rower in a boat that I added on a whim one Saturday morning. So in the end, I WIN, they FAIL—Muah ha ha ha!
