64” x 20” solid top walnut. Cases from walnut plywood; metal legs.
struggled again with square and chipped walnut on the plywood – far from perfect but it is done!
first major furniture i made – and it is still standing (less than month).

The desk looks nice, liking the raised portion of the top. As for cutting plywood, try printers tape in the cut line, also start out with a new sharp blade if you are cutting with a circular saw. I use a zero clearance fence for the circular saw breaking down plywood. (A 1×6 with a piece of hardboard attached to it, then cut the excess off the hardboard) c-clamps hold the fence in position.

Good looking project. Screams Mid-Century-Modern. Very nice work!

Great design – really like the floating top. The grain of the walnut really is eye catching as well. Nice job!

That is really great!

I would hide under it in an earthquake.

Roughly, how much did all that walnut cost? I am always pained when I buy any nice wood.

over $1000 for the walnut… the top is one slab 2” thick 64×20 … heavy in weight and in cost
