I wanted a industrial looking TV stand. I bought this transmission jack at my grandfather’s estate auction. Me and my brother played on this jack 50 years ago when we were growing up. I added this sliver maple top and came up with a great TV stand and conversation piece!

The top looks great, and a little place for the remote. Not sure about the base, but I 7nderstand your affection to it.

I really like the adjustable base and your story that goes along with it. Sadly it suffers from the same problem that a lot of rustic /natural furniture does…. lack of cable management ;)

Love the story behind it. A very unique design, for sure. As to cable management, I’ve found that zip ties work wonders in helping make the cables less noticeable.
