How do you say THANK YOU to a very generous bloke – A SURPRISE TOY!

Yes, Their is a woodworker in Townsville who is one of the instigators of the SuperTee Pink Projects fund raiser who in my humble opinion is one “Fair Dinkum Aussie”, Mark Dainer

I met Mark though a group of Aussie makers on Instagram.

He’s retied Army, though while working on a Rescue Chopper, he seems to spend a stack of time in the shed making beautiful stuff to support others.

The SuperTee Pink Project has brought makers from all around Australia together to make and donate to the SuperTee Organization

Now while he enlisted of a few good mates to assist his enthusiasm has propelled the fund raiser.

So I thought someone needed to give him a THANK YOU SURPRISE!

Papa Smurf, Handy Smurf and I collaborated to firstly use up the last of that VERY BRIGHT purple pink maple veneer and get it out of this toymakers shed.

Mark last year had made and fund raised for a mate doing Desert Racing so a VW Baja Bug was to be the surprise gift!

I enlisted the support of one of the SuperTee raffle prize makers Manny of Wooden Thumb to assist and he supplied the “Dainer Made Logo” disc;s cut in the the purple pink maple veneer with his lazer.

I also enlisted the support of a local Ex-Navy woodworking “Ned Kelly” in Townsville to deliver the surprise parcel to Mark.

I have used recycled furniture grade Pine with a strip of 120yr old American Walnut plus the purple pink maple veneer.

The wheels are homemade from recycled Aussie Hardwood.

I bought furniture buttons for the headlights & taillights.

The finish is my homemade wipe-on-poly, 3 coats.

All Papa Smurf, Handy Smurf and I can say is THANK YOU MARK for you generosity in supporting the SuperTee Organization who support ”SICK CHILDREN IN HOSPITAL”

Certainly a surprise and I’m sure will be treasured.
What a great bloke.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

Thank you one and all for the positive encouragement.
It is always good to do something nice for someone else without them expecting it. I received payment in full with the chester cat smile on his face as he opened the parcel.
