Texas bowls

I made a few more Texas bowls, these are made using a template and bowl router bit. The size is ~15” x~14” and range from 2” – 3” deep. I tried a 3 layer design this time on a few, not sure the time and material was worth it, but I will see how they sell
The woods used are:
Greenish/blackish poplar and Mahogany
Curly poplar and Mahogany
Hickory, Mahogany and Walnut
Maple, White Oak and European Beech
All sealed with shellac and finished with semi gloss WB poly

Good job! I have made and sold these in the past here in west Texas. I put hinged lids on mine though. I like yours and I just may make some like it to sell myself. I cut mine with a scroll saw though.

I love them. I would like making a few of our State, but there are to many Islands.

Those are really cool, I recently made a bandsaw box in the shape of Texas for my sister in law.
I told her if Texas was round it would have been easier.

The last batch I made, more than half were shipped out of Texas :-)
