The little guy next door was having his 4th birthday so he needed something special. What’s cooler than a pirate’s chest for a 4 yo. It’s made of curly maple and some cherry. Most of it are cut-offs from other projects. The tray is poplar. The finish is hours of fun trying to make it look old and used.

the curly is trying to bust thru the stain and finish and helps with the ‘old’ appearance – nice job

Great job on the chest, and a wonderful gift for a child. Where is all the gold?
