Made this blue stain pine cabinet for the Mrs. I hopefully will not be chopping dovetails in soft pine anytime soon. 3 coats of oil and 2 coats of wax. Didn’t have Pine big enough so I had to turn the pulls out of maple. So soft, if I look at it wrong it dents. Fun project anyway. Always learn something new.

I really like BKP – you never know what color can show up. The top is dynamite and congrats on the dovetails

That looks great, you did right with that squishy pine.
The last dovetails I cut in pine I ended up using a utility knife to clean up the fur from the saw cuts – no chisels at all.

Pine is a great wood to test things out on, your cabinet has that pine “charm” which makes it a winner.

Great job. Some people pay for the distressed pine look up front with chains etc. Your project is just on a slower road and looking great the whole way!

I love pine furniture. Yeah, its soft and dents easily, but i love the charm pine brings. That is a great cabinet!

Nice cabinet, more so if the Mrs is over the moon with it.
Pine has a charm to it, all pine can be boring, but here and there it adds a spark to it’s surroundings. Any of that soft wood, makes you change your line to inside the line, rather than on it or justtttt past it on really hard stuff.

That is a nice piece. Like the natural look to it. It is hard to find pine with that look and finish like that. Great job!!
