Project Information

I'm uploading this little project so i can get started (finally) sharing my projects with you guys. I've only got pictures of a couple of my small projects on my computer and this plane tote is one of them. The wood is Mahogany (sipo)
Kind Regards. Kenni

Hi Kenni,
Beautiful handle , really love it, it got curves and class, like a fine woman.
Veritas makes in my eyes some beautiful planes and are the only plane makers, that are thinking new, not just copying the classic Stanley types, in more or less exclusive materials. The should get more credit. But they have always made boring or even ugly handles, years back we had a discussion here with the owner, don't remember his name, where we tried to explain this and I actually remember he was open, to have several types…
I have the scraper planes, when I grab the small one, I smile and are full of joy from it's beauty, where the big one, always makes me think grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, why make such a beautiful plane and then put a piece of firewood, with no effort in making it beautiful on it. Laughs.
Well done.
Best thoughts,
Mads

Just saw they made several versions, so they did listen back in the days.

Still don't think they have the same beauty as the metal work and it's like two different persons designed it.

Thanks for all the nice Comments.

Mads - Your'e totally right about the handles. I'm making new ones for all my Veritas planes. I want to buy one of their traditional style ones as well. It must have been that big guy from their videos (Vic Tesolin) they took measurements of, when they designed it:)
