My wife and I made this puzzle as a 1st birthday gift for her God daughter.
Incorporated five of her favorite animals.

Scroll sawed 3/4 pine. Took the frame down to 1/2” think leaving the pieces proud. Colored the 1/2 ply backing under each pocket the color of the respective puzzle piece

.she can match colors as she develops her fine motor skills.

Made a simple friction fit stand so they can stand the puzzle up to store or use as a decoration in the nursery..

Fun little project to build with my wife.

Thanks for the comments. The last several projects although made of wood, have been more in, what I would call, the craft realm.

Looking forward to the next true wood working project, currently slated as a kitchen pendant light.
