My daughter Alison wanted to build a table all on her own. She has been helping out on occasion with both the woodworking and the camera work but this time she said, “Hey dad, let me do this project all by myself”.
So, in two very cold winter days in NJ, we had a blast building this favorite table of ours.

Yes that smile sure says all there is to be said, even on the front page it was smiling out of the gallery, with pure joy and pride.
Really a fine table, you are lucky to be able to share that and have eachother.

Great job on her first project. Lots of interesting design features such as the tusk tenons. A few details pictures would also be nice to see. Woodworkers like to see the details.

Awesome. I love turning on new people to woodworking. It has the potential for lifelong benefits.
It is such a great way to spend time with children. Beats a board game or watching a movie.
I really like that she got to do it herself and demonstrate confidence and independence.
Bonus points for the Sweatshirt.

I’m glad that you are enjoying it.
