Kevin's wall-mounted gun rack...

I designed and made this gun rack in 1989 for a dear friend (RIP) from high school. Good thing he was a patient fellow as he commissioned it in 1978… (my formal education got in the way).

Made from mahogany and maple. Dovetails and through wedged M&T joints. The rack mounts to a wall and the “guns” (rifles or shotguns) point in opposing directions.

I wonder what ever happened to it as he was a world-traveler and I doubt he took it with him on his travels…

P.S. Next time I build this (I hope to), I will not use diagonal wedges on the through M&T joints… they seem to split more than horizontal wedges. I never knew that until it was too late…
