Here’s a lighthouse I designed about a month ago. I had envisioned a candy-cane striped lighthouse and finally had some time to build it. It’s about 5 ft. tall with the topper and each side panel is around 4 3/4” wide. It’s a simple, hexagon shape, but the paint scheme really makes it stand out. I had to make two trips to Ace to get the right color red. After I painted it, I took a belt sander to it so it would look rustic and weathered. It’s going to make a nice corner lamp…

Does each “window” on the sides light, or just the top? Nice job.

Just the top…. The windows are custom resin windows I have a factory make for me. They actually have photosensitive (glow in the dark) panes so they give a faint glow when it gets dark.

What I’ve seen work well to make window openings light up is to simply hang a rope light inside. They even come in different colors. Pretty cool.
